SET DISTRIBUTION FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (J.H.S) CANDIDATES IN KINTAMPO NORTH CONSTITUENCY

MATHEMATICAL SET DISTRIBUTION FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (J.H.S) CANDIDATES IN KINTAMPO NORTH CONSTITUENCY

The Fridaus Mubarak Yussif (FMY) foundation believes in Sustainable Development Goals 4 & 10 (Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities); hence distributed mathematical sets, rulers and pens to the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) candidates in the Kintampo North Constituency under the distinguished leadership and chairmanship of Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif.

On the 27th – 29th September, 2022, Mr. Emmanuel Abu Apenteng (the aide of Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif) with the help of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate in the Kintampo North Municipality, specifically, Mr. Samuel Baani, the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) coordinator and his deputy for the GES in Kintampo North Municipality helped reached out to over 1000 students in seven (7) circuits in 27 schools.

The seven (7) circuits are Kintampo East, Kintampo West, Babatokuma, Kadelso, Asantekwa, Baniantwe and Kunse: some of the 27 schools include; Kintampo Badariya Islamic, Kintampo Fanyinama, Girls Model, Babatokuma M/A Basic A&B, Kadelso Islamic and M/A Basic, Gulumpe Saeed and M/A Basic, New Longoro (SDA/Meth/M/A) Basic, Busuama R/C Basic, Kunsu L/A and Kobeda No. 2 M/A.

This act is resuscitating the arm of friendliness extended to the B.E.C.E candidates by the former Member of Parliament, Hon. Ato Bonde. Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif resonates with the mantra of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) that, “education is a right and not a privilege”. In this light, he’s aimed at removing or reducing all barriers as well as reducing the inequalities level in the Kintampo North Municipality.

Headmasters, teachers and students were elated that such help was coming at a timely point. They also used the opportunity to re-echo some of their perennial problems which stakeholders have turned a blind eye too. Mr. Emmanuel Abu Apenteng received and noted all their grievances and told them the lead of the foundation would be duly informed and their concerns be looked at in the course of time.
